People are sitting at tables outside a restaurant called akash

Established in 2008, AKASHA stands in the historical Hull Building; built in 1925, the red brick landmark once was home to Culver City’s very first hospital. The 5,100 square foot eco-responsible restaurant and bar values sustainability in not only the kitchen, but within AKASHA’S fundamental identity. World-class designer Alexis Readinger of the award-winning architecture and design firm Preen, Inc, maximized the characteristic industrial features and restored the century-old building's original hand-forged steel, wood, and exposed brick archways, pairing these elements with a mid-century modern aesthetic to create an inviting atmosphere.

Featuring a high-ceiling dining room and bar, adjacent coffee bar, bakery, and retail market, along with two dog-friendly patios, AKASHA’s rustic menu celebrates the best of local farmer’s market produce. Inspired by Chef Akasha's exciting travels around the world, AKASHA infuses unexpected, global flavors into familiar California favorites. Achieving decadent flavors with responsibly sourced ingredients, AKASHA meets us at the intersection of what we want and what we need.
