LEARNING CHANNEL SPECIAL "FLIP THAT RESTAURANT"
We are so excited that the Learning Channel (TLC) is filming a reality documentary on the building of our restaurant called “Flip That Restaurant”. Flip That Restaurant follows Akasha Richmond as she transforms a "straight out of Miami Vice" Italian restaurant into a modern, organic eatery featuring tasty and sustainable foods. This one-hour special for TLC, seen through the eyes of owner, chef and "caterer to the stars", Akasha Richmond, condenses an intense six months of architecture, menu testing, and construction into a lively hour documenting the joys and challenges of opening a new restaurant. Flip That Restaurant is scheduled to premiere on March 8th, 2008 on TLC.

Community Events
AKASHA believes in extending hospitality beyond the walls of the restaurant. We support groups such as Common Threads, Environmental Media Association, Farm Aid, Grow For Good, Healthy Child Healthy World, Share Our Strength, The Organic Center, and Environment California. We especially seek out opportunities and events that support farmers, food issues, hunger, and environmental concerns.
